1.
Every living person is a Sinner and needs Salvation.
All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans
3:23.
In
other words, there is no one who is "good enough" to enter
heaven on his or her own merits. This is hard for those who
pride themselves in their good works. Such people somehow
believe they can actually earn their own salvation by
being good. They even obey the Golden Rule. It is easy to
look at the murderer, the thief, the adulterer and call them
sinners. However, it is more difficult to call a sinner a
person who has spent his/her life doing good for the sick
and the poor and leading a decent life.
All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone
to his own way. Isaiah 53:6.
We are
sinners because we are born estranged from God. We sin
because we are sinners. We are adrift on the vast ocean of
life - without life jackets. There is no way we can save
ourselves.
2. God Sent
His Son to This Earth to Die For Sinners.
The
Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6.
The
Old Testament Prophet, Isaiah, foretold the coming of the
Messiah (Jesus) who would bring salvation to the world. The
penalty for sin is death. Jesus took that penalty and died
upon the Cross.
Neither is there salvation in any other [name], for there is
none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we
must be saved. Acts 4:12.
There
is no name that can save you but the name of Jesus. That is
very hard today to accept in the day when it is popular to
be "multi-cultural" and acceptant of all religions. However,
according to God’s Word, it is only through the Name of
Jesus whereby man can be saved. All of the ceremonies,
rituals and pageants of this world can not save man. Only
the Name of Jesus.
Jesus said: I am the
way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but
by Me. John 14:6.
What you must do to be saved?
 |
Come unto me, all ye that labour and
are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke
upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in
heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke
is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30

But God
commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8 |
 |
That if thou shalt confess with thy
mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart
that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved. For with the heart man believeth unto
righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto
salvation. Romans 10:9-10 |
 |
For whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13 |
You see,
dear friend lost upon life’s seas, the life boat is ready and
waiting for you. Jesus Christ has done His part. He died for
your sins. In order to be saved you must:
-
Admit
that you are a sinner
-
Confess your sins to Jesus Christ, as He is the only one who
can save you.
-
Believe that fact, that He alone can save you.
-
Receive Him into your heart. You do this by simply asking
Him to come into your heart, as a little child would ask his
mother to hold his hand while crossing a busy street.
Today
is the Day of Salvation. Open up your heart to the Savior who
is waiting to hear your cry
for "help".
Prayer:
Dear Jesus,
I come to you acknowledging that I am a sinner, in need of a
Savior. I am not able to save myself. I have sinned. I come
to you, precious Lord and ask You to wash away my sins. Only
your blood which was shed on the cross is acceptable in
God’s eyes to cleanse me from my sins. I repent humbly of
every sin. Now, I ask You, Lord Jesus, to come into my
heart. I want to be your child. I accept by faith what your
Word says and believe that Christ has raised from the dead
through the power of the Holy Spirit. Because He is alive
forevermore, I too shall live forever in His presence.
